They Thought Of Everything!

We have known Larry & Marlene for over 15 years, so when it came time to move they were the obvious, and we believe, best choice we could make. Outside of Real Estate, Larry & Marlene are involved in church programs where they give up their time & energies to assist other people. That’s really cool! They were excellent mentors to us as a couple when we were newlyweds and eventually we gleaned much advice from them as we began parenting and highly respected the way they were raising their son. Because of the quick sale of our house we were able to make a strong offer on the home we desired and again Larry & Marlene thought of everything when we were signing the contract to buy our new home. For example, our builders wanted to charge us for standard extras like garage door openers and vacuum installation but Larry & Marlene had included that in our contract so it was no extra charge to us. They have been doing this for years; they have much experience and many success stories. And they are great people!!

Realistic, reasonable & reliable – we will never use another realtor – he is our realtor for life.

We first met Larry & Marlene in 1991 when Larry sold our first home in Abbotsford and moved to Victoria. He promised he would sell our home within 1% of our asking price and he delivered on everything!

This was wonderful as it meant not having to pay 2 monthly fees, keep it in show condition and therefore a great deal of stress was gone. Larry & Marlene came highly recommended to us through a co-worker of my wife.

Larry met with us quickly, knowing that my wife, Fredene would soon be departing for the missions field and that we had to get everything to her satisfaction. First, Larry had to penetrate our expectations of what we thought our place would fetch in a soft, downward spiraling market, which he did. He helped us get the place ready with some of his ideas and then Fredene was off and we let Larry & Marlene do their thing. Nothing overwhelming happened for the first few days but then a slow but steady interest took place and Larry kept us abreast with feedback from the realtors & their clients. The feedback came 4-5 times a week, which assured us that we were always in the loop and informed.

Within 7 weeks we had an offer, which over the eighth week, with Larry leading, we cultured into an offer we could accept which included a “subject to” that allowed us to take a run at the condo Fredene had had her eye on for about a year. Larry & Marlene again brought their expertise to the table and we negotiated a purchase with time to spare.

Both processes took place in an arena of faxes & emails to Africa in a very timely manner. The speed and efficiency with which things happened allowed us to pursue our lives normally without fear & trepidation.

Boy, were we impressed and blessed!

On closing day they gave us a bag (kit) of very important items like aspirin, band aids (which were used on moving day), toilet paper & other essentials.

Larry & Marlene’s involvement in the selling of our house and purchase of our townhouse began long before the actual deal was finalized. Their dedication and commitment even when it had to have been supremely tedious for them should not have surprised us.

We first met with this couple in the context of the sale of my parents’ home, then worked with them to purchase our own home six years ago. As we faced the possibility of a return to over-seas work, we began to think in terms of altering our housing situation dramatically. We turned to Larry & Marlene for practical advise and technical direction.
