Can you imagine driving up your driveway– seeing all the doors open to your home, lights on, and every drawer, filing cabinet, and closet opened and rummaged through… as well as identity theft, cheques, credit cards, and bank account statements missing?

Our insurance agents at Lyle Insurance were awesome (thanks Nancy, Chrissie & Teresa), but the experience with the insurance company was less than fun… requiring pictures or receipts of each item that was stolen.

Then there was the repair work to our home, plus a driveway gate, a new security system and security company, locks, bars, and the decisions to go with video camera’s, audio sensors, guard dogs or the Berlin Wall with guards and search lights and barb wire...

There were struggles and fears for the first while… every time we drove up the driveway we were wondering in the in back of our minds… if we had any visitors that day?

It was only after friends came down and prayed over our home that our sleep and anxiousness settled down (thanks guys).
